The Sackville gallery had an arcane website that looked dated and was cumbersome to manage. Its clunky content management system was labour-intensive for gallery owner Janet Crawford, who was spending untold and unnecessary hours on it.
Sam created a beautiful, responsive website that’s easy to update on the back-end, with a welcoming aesthetic and clean design that invites visitors to explore. Sam undertook extensive custom development to deliver the particular functionality and warmly sophisticated look Fog Forest was after.
“I count on my website a lot. Sam used all the technology he had at his disposal to make it easier, take less time, look better, be consistent. It's also a reflection of me and my business of 35 years. This is a street-level gallery in a small town in the Maritimes. It's friendly, it's professional, but not intimidating. Sam got that right from the beginning."
What used to take Janet days now takes mere hours, such as uploading exhibition images and details. The site has helped increase the profile of the gallery and its artists. It’s also driving out-of-town sales by making it easy for collectors in Toronto, Vancouver and beyond to peruse online. And Janet loves that she’s able to do all the updates herself.
