Gitpo Spirit Lodge is the vision of retired AFN Regional Chief Roger Augustine—a place rooted in Mi'gmaq culture and dedicated to the health, healing, and advancement of Indigenous peoples across Canada. The site was designed to carry the weight of that story, presenting the Lodge's mission, values, and programs in a way that speaks with equal resonance to community members in Eel Ground and to national stakeholders and partners.
With an active newsroom and a growing portfolio of national initiatives—from harm reduction programs to Indigenous-led renewable energy—the Lodge needed a platform that could keep pace.
