Demystifying the Process

For most residents, applying for a building permit is unfamiliar territory. Plan360—the land planning division of the Southeast Regional Service Commission in New Brunswick—needed a site that could guide homeowners and developers through the permit process clearly, regardless of their familiarity with planning regulations. A step-by-step approach helps visitors quickly identify what their project requires, with checklists, forms, and supporting resources organized around how people actually think about their project, not the order in which regulations are written.

Flexible Publishing for an Informed Public

Beyond permits, Plan360 serves as the public face for a wide range of regional planning initiatives—from sea-level rise adaptation to rural land use regulation. A flexible publishing system makes it easy for staff to maintain community maps, planning documents, and initiative updates, keeping residents and stakeholders informed without creating an ongoing technical burden for the team.
